MY

Story

It was springtime in post-COVID America. By all outward appearances, I had it all. I was a highly successful corporate executive leading a big initiative at a top company. I had degrees, licenses, and credentials in business, financial services, and law. I lived in a comfortable home in a nice neighborhood. I had family and good friends who loved me. And yet, for all of my outward success, I felt like something big was missing. Like I had somehow missed my calling.

Maybe you feel this way too. Maybe you feel like you’re just going through the motions. Maybe you feel like the “you” that you were meant to be got lost somewhere along the way. Maybe you feel like it’s too late now, that you’re too far down the path and too entangled with responsibilities to live the life you were meant to live.
You’re wrong! Keep reading…

Not knowing who to ask or where to turn, I left my corporate career with no plan (which I don’t recommend!) and began a journey of exploration to find my calling. I spent months taking inventory internally of how I am made, and externally of how the experiences in my life have shaped me. I got lost in the woods and the weeds along the way, and I fell down more than a few deep, dark holes. BUT, through the process, I finally got quiet enough to hear my calling. I found my way out of the woods and the weeds, and while I was at it, I left markers along the trail for those who would come behind me.

My own unique calling led me to write a book about my journey. It’s called Up from the Water, and you can read it here. I also founded a community music academy, a forgotten passion project that I first had when I was nineteen years old. And now, I am answering the call to help you find and activate your own calling and lead in your calling with impact.

“If your path is difficult, it is because
your purpose is bigger than you thought.”
